Lilly’s Tiny California Closet
Poor Lilly haha. There is always one kid in the family that draws the short end of the stick when it comes to their room - or at least their closet. Lilly is the baby of the family and her closet is most def the smallest.
It wasn’t a bad closet but I knew there was just so much more we could do. It had a rack for her clothes and I had stuffed an old dresser in there for some makeshift “drawers”. I know - ridiculous. But it did the trick!
Tinda came and once again worked her magic. This tiny little closet I had no hope for suddenly would accommodate 15ft of hanging space. YES 15ft.
Here were the mock ups:
You will notice on the right hand side there is a shelf AND a rack. For now I wanted a shelf there so we could make a little bookcase within her closet. When she gets older; we can remove that shelf and it can be more hanging space. When she gets even older; we can remove the middle hanging rack to give her clothes the room / length they will need. I love that this closet will grow with her.
As you know by my makeshift drawers I had originally in her closet - drawers were important to me. We decided on having them right in the middle for easy access.
My budget was limited ( like always haha) so this system you see here is their entry level system as far a colour goes. Incredible quality and a lifetime guarantee as long as you live in the house.
I get giddy when I walk into Lilly’s room and see her closet. It’s so beautiful;. Which I know sounds silly for closet but gone are the days where I’m frantically searching for things. It’s all right here in its place with room to spare.
If you’ve got tiny closets in your place - maximize them! California Closets knows what to do and how to make the most of even the cutest spots. Plus - the consultation is always free.
